Ahhh I know – it’s better not to think about it. It’s okay to eat like a pig a couple of days in a row – because really how often do you go on one of THOSE holidays. But I’d still like to give you some of my favourite tips to keep you motivated or at least kind of on track. Haha maybe one day naughty, one day good, what ever you like! ♡
THERES NO PRESSURE TO TRAIN OR WORKOUT LIKE YOU USUALLY WOULD
In my opinion, it’s totally fine to slow it down whilst on holidays. If you normally go to the gym 5 times a week, it’s now okay to only do 2 or 3 workout sessions. And I know, going to the gym might seem impossible between activities, drinking and overall relaxing. No problem! Just switch it up during this week and do bodyweight workouts! Remember, the only bad workout is the one you didn’t do babe!
NO NEED TO SAY NO
I mean you could if you wanted to. But sometimes it’s nice to eat unhealthy food with your family or friends. You know, go all out. You work hard all year round, so if your on holidays splurge a little! So don’t eat huge portions of everything – it’s all about the taste! And one piece of cake is enough to enjoy the taste. Right? Portion control is key.
STAY HYDRATED – FILL UP WITH WATER
Staying hydrated with water is always a must, every day but especially on holidays. If you’re afraid of eating too much at a party/event make sure to drink a whole bottle of water beforehand. This will fill you up and will make you eat less. Pretty easy trick. Gets everything moving better also!
GET OUT THERE
Don’t get lazy as soon as the temperature drops or heats up too much. I LOVE outdoor fitness – well at least cardio anyway! Do an outdoor workout instead of an indoor one. This is one solution to burn of the extra calories you’ve eaten! So go for a run, do your bodyweight workout in the park or go for a long walk, look around explore. Fresh air for the win!
INCLUDE YOUR FAMILY/FRIENDS
Start motivating your whole family or group of people who are with and do a group workout, walk or hike. It’s a fun way to spend the holiday season together with your loved ones. I know i’m always way more likely to be active if someone will join me – life is better shared in company. Thats how i feel about training too!
WHEN WATCHING TV –
I never used to enjoy TV EVER. But now on the weekends or holidays i actually enjoy unwinding in the late afternoon – usually resting before the nest feast – that i like a little TV time. If you have an open space theres no excuse in the comnercial break to get active.

1min Moutain Climbers
1min Sit Ups
1min Squat Jumps
I’m all for being fit and healthy and improving the way i feel about my body and i know it could be easy to freak out about the extra weight. But take a step back and ask yourself why work so hard if you splurge and be a little naughty. Eat and drink what you like – in moderation of course.
After your break your going to train that much harder and eat so much better to get back on track. I see it as a chane re motivating myself and setting new goals.
