I’ll be honest, i absolutely LOVE to read, but over the last few years i’ve been to busy (which is no excuse for not doing something that you love). Over the last year i have invested time in reading books meant to motivate which has been really beneficial. I’m not going to pretend like I’m some smarty pants who knows everything about literature. But there has been a few books I’ve read, that have really motivated me and inspired me in life, career and beyond.
The Alchemist by
I first heard about The Alchemist when my love gave it to me as my first ‘non gift’. We had just started dating and before he gave me the cute little package he mentioned it was a ‘NON GIFT’ just a travel essential as i was flying to Hobart for Xmas. I read it on the plane in one go. To date may be one of my favourite books – the inspiring, humbling type that makes you really think about your life and where your at.
It helped me understand the obstacles you over come and some times even the way your life is redirected, is all for an end goal . HAPPINESS. And even if your path is delayed, the things that you work for and that are meant for you will come when the time is right. I highly recommend this book for anyone who feels like they are frustrated or feeling like they want to give up on a goal.
THE SECRET by RHODA BYRNE
I’ve always been more spiritual than religious. I believe what you get is what you give, what you put out is the energy you will receive. But i could be way better at manifesting the things that I want in life and maintaining positive thoughts. So when I read The Secret, I thought to myself well I’m already practicing some of what this book is teaching me, but i could be so much better. It taught me to hone in on the way my mind already was working, how i immediately react to situations and sometimes over react can alter how i should feel . This book isn’t magic. You won’t magically get something just because you visualize it. But what it will do is help you think positively and constantly remind yourself to see the results you want in your mind and leave the negative thoughts elsewhere. Happiness is a state of mind.
What are your favourite books for motivation? I’d love to KNOW! Leave me a comment angels x
