Hello my loves ♡ long time no see.
I’ve been spending the last 14 days enjoying and exploring LA, figuring out where everything is and meeting new people. AND I finally got some sleep. I mean, this is my fourth time this year, so its starting to feel like a second home, but i still want to tell you about it anyway.
So basically, it is a little harder for me work wise – as i’m on a different time schedule, but it gives me time to get some adventuring and training out of the way in the morning before you all wake up in Australia and then i’m online being a busy body working.
So training wise, i’m so lucky that we’re we are staying there is an F45 a 5 minute drive or 20 min walk up the road, on Abbot Kinney in Venice. So i’ve doing that a few times a week, matched with Soul Cycle at Santa Monica (LADIES YOU NEED THIS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK FOR YOUR SOUL), alot of walking and people watching and Barre class occasionally. I try and hike the Canyons in WEHO once to twice a week as the view is amazing. Sunset is the best its just super hard with LA traffic timing it this way, as i’m staying in Marina Del Ray, its about 40 – 60 mins drive in.
LA is FIT FIT FIT! So it keeps me motivated and there are so many healthy food choices its crazy! SO much to choose from!
Food wise during the week i’ll have EREWHON Market make it yourself salads twice a day – these are so bloody amazing i’m actually addicted. For the first week i was obsessed with ordering an acai bowl with a spoonful of peanut butter for lunch every day – and then noticed the sugar around my mid section haha so now i’m saving it as a treat on the weekend.
I also like Gratitude Cafe in Santa Monica, Urth Cafe on Melrose, Alfred Coffee on Melrose … amazing! Great coffee and where i’ve been spending a few hours working from (YES FREE WIFI) is intelligentsia on Abbot Kinney in Venice. The freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice at Joans on Third is by far my favourite thing EVER!
Another little breakfast spot where i’ve been spending time over the last few weeks is the Butchers Daughter on Abbot Kinney. Its Vegan and so so so beautiful inside, its just a really nice vibe and place to eat!
Im also LOVING watching American football. We actually went to a game in San Diego 3-4 weeks ago live which was a crazy experience! Super cool! Such a good atmosphere. Americans are so passionate about sport i love it! I didn;t find a good hotdog or particularly like the beer though .. other than that! Amazing! Its such a technical game, i recommend watching it!
So work wise, i’m super lucky that all of my work is online, meaning i can work from anywhere in the world, even if the time difference is a little painful, i’m so grateful my work allows me to work from anywhere! Im still shooting for my blog and working closely as i can social media consulting for Avenew, but i do need to be a little more creative with where i shoot for my social. I hope you guys all notice an improvement in next weeks posts. Fingers crossed anyhow – you’ll let me know i’m sure!
I have so much to catch up on when i get home, which makes me feel super motivated and really excited to be home but making the most of my last bit of time here while i can. LOVE THE LIFE YOU LIVE …..
Sorry if i babbled angels, much love! EM xx
